Butere Girls High Soccer Team (The Red Commandos) hit the National stage in 2008. They hit The East and Central Africa stage in 2009 to date.
They became Champions in girls’ soccer for the first time in 2014, 2023 for the second time, and 2024 for the third time.
The team is currently at Bukedea, Uganda to represent Kenya at the East and Central Africa Schools Championships, and may the Lord give them victory all the way.
Several girls in the team also play for the National team under 17 years. In October 2024, they will represent Kenya in World Cup soccer under 17 girls in the Dominican Republic. The Red Commandos started in the year 2000.
We have much about this team, including academic soccer scholarships locally and abroad. May the Lord give them victory all the way.
