ACK diocese of Butere Bishop Rose Okeno has described the late Canon Priscilla Were as a matriarch, a legend who will be remembered by many.
Eulogizing the late former Bunyore Girls High School principal, Rt. Rev. Okeno said she was her personal friend whose death has brought sorrow not only to her close relatives but also to her friends as well.
With emphasis on Jeremiah 6:16-20 when she led her requiem mass service held at Glory Value school grounds in Butere, the bishop encouraged the family members to seek God’s good ways to find rest for their souls.
The late Canon Were will be laid to rest on Saturday, July 27 2024 at her home in Kitale.
