More than 40 women drawn from the wards within the sub-counties of Butere and Khwisero attended the ‘EMPOWER HER COUNTY PROGRAM MEETING’ at ACK St. Luke’s Cathedral in Butere.
The program was facilitated by Dr. Josephine Ongoma and aimed at imparting skills on the utilization of available resources to sustain livelihoods and economic empowerment.
‘EMPOWER HER COUNTY PROGRAM’ is powered by the office of the Women Rights Advisor Under the Executive Office of the President, Absa Bank Kenya, The African Guarantee Fund, and The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
This program is facilitated by The International Labor Organization to help women start and improve their business, by offering entrepreneurship development and financial literacy to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
It aims to empower entrepreneurs and enhance their capabilities to generate business ideas, start and improve your business (SIYB), formalize businesses, register business on government portals, budget and plan financially, save and investment, access financial services, improve in Marketing and get Business Advisory on Taxation.
