Bishop Rose Okeno warmly welcomes the Five Talents (UK) team to the Diocese of Butere as they embark on a collaborative effort with the Butere Community Development Trust (BUCODET). This social response program, co-owned and managed by the ACK Diocese of Butere and Five Talents (UK), aims to bring positive change and empowerment to local communities.

The program’s core involves bringing together small groups of Christians within the Diocese to form savings and credit groups based on trust and mutual support. These groups serve as a platform for individuals and families to enhance their financial stability and build a better future.

Additionally, the program provides essential business training to group members, equipping them with skills and knowledge needed to create and sustain successful businesses, fostering self-reliance and prosperity.

The partnership with Five Talents (UK) brings added expertise, experience, and resources, enhancing the program’s impact and reach within the community. Together, they aim to uplift families and empower communities, creating a sustainable path towards prosperity.

The Five Talents (UK) team’s visit to the Diocese of Butere will last until Wednesday, February 21st, 2024. During this time, they will work closely with local communities, engaging in training sessions, mentorship programs, and other activities designed to promote financial literacy and entrepreneurship.

The Diocese of Butere expresses sincere gratitude to Five Talents (UK) for their dedication to this important initiative. Together, they are paving the way for positive transformation and meaningful change, fostering a brighter future for the people of Butere and beyond.
