The Canon Awori Tailoring and Garment Making Project received funding from the United Thanks Offering (UTO) Grant. The primary focus of the UTO grant for the tailoring and dressmaking project is to address crime and rehabilitate individuals who are incarcerated or in needy circumstances. The project aims to equip them with tailoring skills, provide stability at home, offer access to counseling services, and improve the livelihoods of their households. Currently, the project is being overseen by a technical supervisor and two instructors who lead a team of 21 students. In addition to its social impact, the project is designed to generate income for the diocese through its production component, which includes items such as uniforms, track suits, clerical garments, school uniforms, curtains, tablecloths, sofa covers, chair cloths, and various other products.
