Today, the ACK Diocese of Butere, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Butere sub-county, successfully hosted a stakeholders forum to address the Triple Three Threat: HIV, Teen Pregnancies, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Alcoholism. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the attendees, including the representative of MP Khwisero constituency, the MCAs from both Butere and Khwisero constituencies led by Hon. Philip Ondako Maina, the County Government of Kakamega Ministry of Health led by Mrs. Rose Muhanda, the MOH Butere Subcounty team led by Dr. Frederick Songa, and the entire team. Special thanks to IFAGE organization led by Revd Dominic Busolo, the ACK Clergy, Provincial Administrators, Youth, Men, Women, Bodaboda Leaders from both Khwisero and Butere Subcounties.
During the forum, all delegates expressed their commitment to work together in unity to combat the prevalence of the Triple Three Threat, GBV, and alcoholism. The collective resolution is to create awareness in Butere and Khwisero sub-counties (the Diocese of Butere) to mitigate these pressing issues. Together, we believe that through collaborative efforts, we can make a positive impact and promote a healthier and safer community.
